Drawing the graphic recording for the Global NDC Conference was a moving experience for me. Policy makers, climate experts, practitioners, researchers and innovators from around the world came together to intensify national climate action goals, coordinate within the international climate community and tackle challenges through dialog. The three days focused on the following topics:

Day 3: Solutions
The Global NDC Conference has been held every 4 years since 2014. NDC stands for “Nationally Determined Contributions”. The Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) form the basis for all countries to achieve their climate targets with regard to the Paris Agreement of 2016.
The commissioning GIZ wanted me to follow the tradition of my predecessors in previous years and draw with acrylic markers on cardboard honeycomb panels. This meant that the results could then be placed piece by piece in a row. A real marathon that was great fun!
