50 Years Jazzforum

Graphic Recording happens SPONTANEOUSLY – especially in this case! On Wednesday evening I got a call and on Thursday at 9 o’clock I was on the train to Marburg equipped with paper roll and markers to replace a colleague.

I was able to catch a glimpse of the work and tradition of the German Jazz Union during the graphic recording assignment for their 50th anniversary. As part of the Marburg Jazz Summer, there were roundtables on the following topics, among others:

How is the social transformation reflected in the jazz scene?

What is it like to live and work as a jazz musician in Germany?

What are the future visions?

I especially loved being able to accompany this engaging and musical celebration of the arts through visual storytelling!
